Do I really need the
Motherboard Revision fix?

If your computer manufactured by Amiga Technologies/Amiga International supplied with a factory-fitted Kickstart 3.1 chipset and was bought after March 1996

  • If you have an Amiga Technologies/Amiga International A1200 as above there is a very good change that the fix is not necessary.

If you have a Commodore-manufactured A1200

  • If your motherboard is ID.4 or 2B with WB3.0 (3.0) ROMs, then it is likely to have the manufacturing fault - unless specifically fixed after purchase. The likelihood is that timing faults will occur when you try to expand above an '030 accelerator causing system instability problems.

In all cases please ring before returning equipment for workshop attention. Should work be necessary your details will be taken and will be given an Returns Authorisation Number. Please write this prominently on the outside of the package when sending your motherboard to us for fixing.

Please also be sure to enclose your name, address, contact phone number and payment details in a letter in the package.
